The Government focuses on investing in the quality of teaching, multi-learning programs to foster and develop knowledge and skills for future generations. 1. The Canadian education system is divided into 3 forms

Depending on the province or territory in Canada, children may start primary school as young as 4 years old and complete high school when they are 18 years old.

Accordingly, the Canadian education system is divided into 3 levels:

  • Primary school: for children from 5 to 12 years old.

  • High School: for children between 12 and 18 years old.

  • Post-secondary: open to anyone over the age of 18 who can apply to attend a post-secondary school.

For preschool age, the Canadian government does not require children to go to school, depending on the family's care conditions, parents send their children to school or keep them at home.

The Canadian education system consists of Primary, Secondary and Post-secondary

2. Semester at Canadian schools

Each province and territory in Canada has its own start and end times for the school year. However, it usually starts in September and ends in June. School hours are usually from 8 am to 3 pm, or later. Students study Monday through Friday.

All students and students have 2 months of summer vacation. There are annual holidays on Christmas (December) and Easter (April) every year.

3. Characteristics of schools in Canada

Currently, the Canadian education system from primary to post-secondary will be divided into two groups of schools, public and private. Public schools are those that are funded from the state budget and managed by the provincial government. As for private schools, the curriculum will be more proactive and flexible than public schools, but the quality and curriculum still have to be approved by the provincial government.
