1. The expat community is quite large

The average working hour is about 40 hours a week, the number of days off is 20 days a year. In addition, Czechs have 11 more days off during major national holidays.

8. Distinguish between Czechs and Slovaks

Before 1990, the Czech Republic and Slovakia were one, but when the Soviet Union broke up, they were split into two separate countries. Despite having a brotherly relationship, the personalities of the people of these two countries are quite different. Czechs are calmer and more optimistic, while Slovaks are known for being impulsive to the point of impulsiveness.

9. The Czech Republic has two distinct regions

These are Bohemia to the west and Moravia to the east. In Bohemia, people are more reserved and love to drink beer, while Moravian people are very friendly and prefer southern wines. The Moravians speak their own dialect and consider themselves a sovereign nation
