Policy on part-time work without a Work Permit for international students: Starting from June 1, 2014, students who come to study in Canada in general and Manitoba in particular do not need to wait after 6 months to apply for a work permit. When participating in study programs outside the language program and from 18 years of age or older, students are allowed to work up to 20 hours/week during their studies and full-time for short periods of time.
Policy for granting a work permit to stay up to 3 years after graduation: After graduating from college, university and graduate programs in Manitoba, the province allows international students to stay and work. employment for up to 3 years. This is the longest period of stay in the post-graduation category compared to other immigration-encouraging countries.

For the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP), there are 2 streams for international students.
Students who have graduated from colleges and universities in Alberta and are working in Alberta under a Work Permit called a Post-Graduation Work Permit can apply under this stream.
This stream was created for candidates who have graduated from colleges and universities in Canada and have a long-term, full-time job offer from an employer in Alberta. Both the employer and the candidate must be eligible to apply to the program.
International students who fall into one of the following three categories will be granted Canadian Permanent Residence when applying for Canadian permanent residence in Ontario with the following conditions.
- Have a full-time job
- Have completed at least 1/2 of the study program
- Attending public colleges or universities
- Currently enrolled in a 2-year program or a Post-Graduate program or more
- Intend to live and work in Ontario
- Graduated from a master's program at a public university in Ontario
- Apply within 2 years after graduation
- Prove that you have enough income to support yourself or your dependents
- Sufficient English or French proficiency
- No future study plan required
- Do not violate Canadian law
- Graduated from a public university in Canada
- Apply within 2 years after graduation

Nova Scotia's nomination program is quite simple, no need to calculate the scale, just meet the following conditions to be able to apply for Canadian immigration and be approved:
- Age 21 - 55
- Find a job in Nova Scotia, full-time 30 hours/week job
- The best job is in the category 0, A, B according to the NOC classification system, if it is in the C category, it is necessary to work at a certain company for 6 months or more.
- Must have relevant work experience of 1 year or 1,560 hours, this work experience can be accumulated anywhere not necessarily Canada
- English level IELTS 6.0 or higher
- Must have a college degree or higher (not necessarily in Nova Scotia but should be in the same state as Nova Scotia)
- Prove your desire to settle in Canada in Nova Scotia (proven through studying and working in this state)
Under the Quebec Experience Program (PEQ), international students must apply for a Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ) upon graduation from a college. or university from a school recognized by the Quebec Ministry of Education.
Accordingly, international students can apply for Canadian immigration in the state 6 months before graduation and will be approved within 1-3 months with the condition:
- Studying for 2 years or more at a state university and matching graduation requirements
- The level of French must be intermediate or higher
The PEQ immigration program can be said to be a much easier program than the Canadian immigration policies of other states in Canada (including Nova Scotia). For international students who do not know French, they can take 5 French classes at the designated school (the school in the state of Quebec), then they will meet the requirements for Canadian immigration.
International students who fall into one of the following two categories will be granted Canadian Permanent Residence when applying in Saskatchewan with the following conditions:
- Complete a full-time post-secondary program in Canada for at least one academic year and earn a degree or certificate at an accredited Canadian school;
- Have worked for a company or enterprise in Saskatchewan for at least 6 months under a work permit for graduates, experience includes working on campus, off-campus, studying while working, internship under school program;
- Be licensed to work after graduation by the Immigration Department (CIC);
- Have an official full-time job offer from a Saskatchewan company.
Complete a master's or doctoral program with a minimum of 1 year of full-time study from the University of Saskatchewan or the University of Regina;
- Apply within 2 years of graduation;
- Intend to live in Saskatchewan;
- Have at least 6 months working in the training field in Saskatchewan;
- Currently working in the field of training or received a job offer in the field of training in Saskatchewan with a term of at least 6 months;
- Spouse is working full-time in Saskatchewan. Candidates have enough money to cover basic living
