US EB5 Latest Update - Visa Bulletin July 2021: STILL STATUS OF EB5 US INVESTMENT VISA FOR VIETNAM INVESTERS MAY END
According to the visa bulletin of the US Consular Department (Visa Bulletin) of July 2021, the priority date for EB-5 visa issuance (priority date) of Vietnamese investors will be moved up 2 years compared to the visa bulletin board of Vietnam. In the Visa bulletin board for July 2021 of the US Consulate General, the priority date of EB-5 applications from Vietnam quickly changed from “April 15, 2018” in the June 2021 Visa message board to “date of April 1, 2020”, which means that Vietnamese investors who file their I-526 petitions on or before March 31, 2020 will be issued a visa number immediately from July 1, 2021 and can file conditional Green Card application when the I-526 petition is approved. Currently, this priority date is only applied to the direct investment EB-5 stream, not through the Regional Center. As the EB-5 stream indirectly through the Regional Center (I5 and R5) will be reviewed by the U.S. Government and allotted a new budget for further renewal after June 30, 2021, the priority date for this stream is currently pending. is “U”, meaning that the investor will not be considered for a visa application at this time until the EB-5 status through the Regional Center continues to be extended.
As predicted by many immigration experts, Vietnamese investors may not need to wait for an immigrant visa to be approved after the I-526 application is approved like in previous and current years.
